FAQ

Straight answers before you write.

Start dates, GL versus CEM, trial lessons, and whether this is only for the 11+.

When should we start 11+ preparation?
Year 4 is a common start for a calm build-up. Year 3 can help if foundations need attention. Year 5 is still workable with a focused weekly plan — we will be honest if the timeline is tight.
Do you cover GL and CEM?
Yes. Lessons follow the skills those papers actually test: maths, English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, and vocabulary. We shape practice around the schools you are applying to, including Newstead Wood, St Olave’s, Bexley, and Kent routes.
Is it only 11+?
No. Plenty of families come for SATs, homework confidence, or a steadier grip on English and maths. The 11+ is a specialism, not the only offer.
In person or online?
Both. In person across Bromley and nearby South London (BR1–BR6, and CR0 where travel works). Online if that is easier, or a mix through the term.
Are you DBS checked?
Yes. Lessons are one-to-one with a qualified, DBS-checked teacher.
Do you offer a trial?
The first step is a free chat. If it feels like a fit, we book a paid trial lesson so you and your child can see how it works before committing to a weekly slot.
What about groups or a parent portal?
Not yet. This is one-to-one on purpose. Bookings and payments will be added properly later — for now, email or the form is the way in.
